Position: Medical Transport Specialist
(Driver or Attendant)
Do you want to help people live their life to the fullest?
Do you like people and want your work to be developing real relationships?
Are you highly proactive, empathetic, reliable, and detail-oriented?
If this sounds like you, we've got your perfect job.
We call this role the "Medical Transport Specialist" (MTS), but to others in our industry, it might be called "driver" or even "transporter".
What our MTS do is not just drive, but provide extended, professional services for our passengers from initial greeting to drop-off, and they do this by building relationships with the passengers and having compassion/ empathy with giving them the most positive transport experience ever.
The MTS is a crucial role to the team, and you’re the person who completes the difference we’re trying to make.
Here’s how it works:
The moment our Dispatch team successfully books a transport assuring the passenger/ caretaker the best service on this planet, you’re the first to arrive on scene. This is when you take over.
You'll get to know them, assess the situation, you'll understand their specific preferences, and you'll make sure as we bring them to their destination, that we've done our best to serve them, exceeding their expectations.
The job is a very fulfilling experience, handling lots of these types of tasks every day:
Transferring a patient from hospital bed to gurney or wheelchair
Operating a wheelchair and gurney equipped vehicle
Working with a partner for gurney and stair chair calls
Communicating with our dispatch team, hospital nurses, the passenger, and family members
Logging daily vehicle inspections
Basic patient assessments when arriving on scene
Driving to hospitals, residences, nursing homes, restaurants, shopping centers, airports, and even stadiums
Helping bring our passengers from bedside to doctor side
Don't worry, medical experience is not necessary. We have a complete (PAID) training program.
If you want to do all of the above and help people, you're probably pretty awesome, which brings us to an important question:
Why should you work with us?
We're One Access Medical Transportation, and we've created a winning culture to better serve our passengers that need to go places.
The impact and the fulfillment that comes with working with a like minded team like us makes it all worth it.
This video describes our patient experience pretty well. You can see what people have to say about us here. (Yelp Page)
